Since 2014, the Mobile @bullysuppenkueche has been bringing hot meals and donations to people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Hamburg. What began as a small initiative by today’s chairwoman Julia Radojkovic, became a registered non-profit organisation in 2017. Since January 2023, BullySuppenküche started running a permaning information point: the BullyEcke. Here, people in need receive: 🍲 warm meals 👕 clothing 🧼 hygiene products 🚿 showers & laundry 🩹 basic wound care 🤝 social counselling & support In 2023, Julia and @sallos_official joined forces, and this is how the collaboration with NÜWIEL began. Since then the eTrailer has been humbly supporting Bullysuppenküche's mobile outreach, helping deliver warm meals to places the van can't reach. 🚲⚡ Want to help or volunteer? Homelessness isn’t caused by just one thing. It’s the result of rising rents, a lack of affordable housing, and personal crises that often reinforce each other. Low-income households are hit hardest, some spend up to 46% of their income on housing (Source: Diakonie Schleswig-Holstein). A job loss, separations and illness can lead to eviction, which nowadays happens faster than in the past. Many people experiencing long-term homelessness face multiple challenges, including mental health issues or addiction, making it even harder to find stability again. 🚐 Since 2014, Julia has been supportig people in need providing warm meals from her van. 🤝 In 2023, Julia started a collaboration with Sallos, which led to the NÜWIEL eTrailer. Since then, the eTrailer has been supporting Bullysuppenküche’s mobile outreach by delivering warm meals to places the van can’t reach. Want to help or volunteer? Being mobile means raching people who cannot come to you. Julia from @bullysuppenkueche started serving hot soup and coffee from her van to people in need. She often thought that a bicycle would be useful, as it would enable her to get to places that are difficult to reach by the van.
